The Apresia13000-48X is a box-type switch with an extensive feature set: Two uplink XENPAK ports supporting 10GBASE-R (10-Gbit Ethernet (*1)), eight SFP ports supporting 1000BASE-X, and 44 ports supporting 10BaseT/100BaseTX/1000BaseT, all in a 1-U chassis (4.5 cm high; mountable on a 19-inch rack). The Apresia13000-48X runs the AEOS (*2) OS, with its established reputation for reliability, flexibility, and ease of management. The Apresia13000-48X can be used as an integrated switch for servers that process large data volumes or as a core switch in small- or mid-sized networks.

ApresiaLight216T-PoE
 
ApresiaLight216T-PoE provides 16 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX downlink ports with PoE(*3) capability and a 10BaseT/100BaseTX/1000BaseT uplink port, in a unit with a footprint of approximately A4 dimensions (approximately 210 mm wide and 297 mm deep). The ApresiaLight216T-PoE is easily installed in small spaces, even when used as a desktop switch. Two ApresiaLight216T-PoE units can be mounted side-by-side in a 19-inch rack to provide 32 PoE-enabled ports in a 1-U space.

*3  PoE (Power over Ethernet) is a technique for supplying electric power through a cable integral to Ethernet wiring. The technique is standardized in IEEE 802.3af.

The ApresiaLight210-PD provides eight 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX downlink ports and two 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX uplink ports with PoE capability in a compact unit (measuring approximately 210 mm wide and approximately 170 mm deep). Combined with a PoE-enabled switch, the ApresiaLight210-PD can be installed virtually anywhere, regardless of the location of the power outlet.

Both the ApresiaLight216T-PoE and ApresiaLight210-PD support remote configuration for QoS (*4) and VLAN (*5) and remote alive monitoring (*6). They also support IEEE 802.1X, the international standard user authentication scheme.

*4  QoS (Quality of Service) is a technique for reserving a band for special communications to ensure a certain minimum transmission rate.
*5  VLAN (Virtual LAN) is a technique for grouping a virtual terminal configuration in a corporate LAN apart from the physical network configuration.
*6  Alive monitoring is a function that allows network administrators to examine the status of the switch operations by remote monitoring.
