The cooling and heating performance of an air conditioner can be affected greatly by the heat transmission efficiency of the heat transfer tubes used in the heat exchanger unit. Hitachi Cable was the first in the world to develop "Thermofin Tube." The newly developed tube features very fine grooves on its inside wall to increase the surface area that comes into contact with the refrigerant. The Thermofin Tube improves the cooling and heating performance to a level significantly greater than that of conventional smooth-surface pipes, thus contributing to energy conservation.
