The home network offers a host of functions, but one of the most convenient and frequently used is "Group & One-Touch Operation." By registering multiple network connected products such as air conditioners and lights as a group, this function allows you to operate all of them at once using the remote control. Each button on the remote control can be assigned a desired function using a PC.
For instance, when the "Leaving Home" button on the remote control is programmed to turn off all room lights and air conditioners, it is not necessary to go from room to room in order to turn off all the switches. This is particularly convenient when you have to leave home suddenly—switches will never be left on accidentally. This flexible "Group & One-Touch Operation" function can be set to suit individual users' lifestyles. For example, button functions such as "Arriving Home," "Going to Bed," and "Waking Up" can be set, in addition to "Leaving Home." As up to eight remote-control units can be used, each member of the family can have his or her own personalized remote control.
Furthermore, the home network can be accessed from a mobile phone or a PC connected to the Internet, enabling air conditioners or lights that were accidentally left on to be turned off, and air conditioners to be switched on before you arrive home in order to ensure that the rooms are comfortably heated or cooled. This remote operation capability using mobile equipment is a very convenient feature for those who are always on the go. |
