Hitachi Cable,Ltd. was the first to succeed in a mass production of oxygen free copper products in Japan in 1960s. Since then, its applications have been expanded due to its high purity and superior characteristics. Among copper for industrial use, there are three kinds of copper as shown below. Oxygen free copper exhibits excellent characteristics such as electrical conductivity, weldability, formability and adhesion of oxide film. Moreover it exhibits very low gas emission and no hydrogen embrittlement because of its extremely high purity. |
