Applications of our Group's rubber
products include handrails used in
escalators and moving sidewalks, rubber
rollers in the development processing
sections of copiers and printers, and
anti-static rubber sheets used on factory
floors. Our "COSTAC ECO" is compliant
with RoHS and ELV directives*,
contributing to the establishment of ecofriendly
manufacturing processes in
factories, etc.
* Contents of not only six phthalate esters regulated by EU directives but also dimethyl phthalate and
diethyl phthalate are less than 100ppm, which is smaller than the lower limits of EU directives by

In relation to bullet trains and other train cars, wires and cables used in the cabs, underfloor wirings
and wirings between railway cars are resistant against vibration and temperature changes, with a

The cable connects between the main body of ultrasound diagnostic
equipment and the probe used for an echographic investigation. The cable
is light-weight, excels in elasticity and flexibility and has a high standard
of electric characteristics, realizing easiness to handle as well as a high
definition of images, contributing to the development of medical equipment. |

At the 2009 National Invention Awards*, which are
sponsored by the Japan Institute of Invention and
Innovation, our invention of super fine copper alloy wire for
advanced medical equipments won the "Invention Award
Prize from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports,
Science and Technology."
This super fine copper alloy wire has been
commercialized as the inner conductor of cables for the
probe of ultrasound diagnostic equipment. By optimizing
the ratios among copper, tin and indium when we compose
the conductor, we could realize a wire as thin as 16µm in
diameter, with flexibility resulting in no breakage after being
repeatedly bent as well as high transmission characteristics
to transmit a large amount of information.
With the recognition
from this award, it was
highly evaluated that this
super fine copper alloy
wire had been applied
to not only the medical
field but also to telecommunications, machine processing
and many other fields, making a great contribution to the
development of electronics industry.

A high strength, heat-resistant, self-lubricating enameled wire enabling
