Hitachi Cable has contributed to the establishment of wide area Ethernet networks for Japanese telecommunication carriers by providing them with proprietary gigabit Ethernet multiplexing long distance transmitters and the*1 Apresia 6000/8000/16000/18000 Series*2 Ethernet switches for telecommunications carriers. In addition, the company also supplies such products as the Apresia 2000/3000/4000/13000 Series with enhanced authentication for establishing PC quarantine systems as well as high speed, long-distance transmitting optical transceivers and other devices, enabling customers to establish and improve network infrastructures with high cost performance and reliability.

Hitachi Cable is committed to contributing to the establishment of environments where all people in Japan, including mountainous regions and remote islands can enjoy access to digital broadcasting, the Internet, mobile phones and other services. We have been involved in building more than 1,000 domestic UHF broadcast transposer stations, in support of the communication environment throughout Japan.
In recent years, the company has supplied a wide range of products including digital terrestrial broadcast antenna systems, mobile phone station antenna systems, wireless LAN systems, high frequency coaxial cables for wireless communication systems and various types of antennas.

Thanks to the widespread use of ADSL, FTTH and other broadband services, the Internet environment in Japan has steadily improved. Our company provides a wide range of customers including telecommunication carriers and system suppliers with such products as large-capacity optical submarine cables to connect continents and mid distance transmission optical fiber cables for interurban, between companies and homes.
